Maintenance fees and discounts

Why are there maintenance fees?

Each miner in our collections is powered by a real fleet of devices — this is what allows them to mine Bitcoin for you.

When buying a miner, you are purchasing a portion of existing ASICs, each one of which requires maintenance. Our service center handles it 24/7 on its own, and you only pay a daily fee.

It’s important to note that the prices we offer for this service are much lower than market prices, and the quality is much higher.

How do maintenance fees affect my rewards?

To calculate your daily net reward, we deduct the maintenance fees (electricity and equipment service) from your pool reward, applying all your maintenance discounts.

Overall, your daily mining reward is calculated as follows:

Net Reward=Pool Reward(Electricity+Service)×(1Discounts)\text{Net Reward} = \text{Pool Reward} - (\text{Electricity} + \text{Service}) \times (1 - \text{Discounts})

What do the maintenance discounts mean for you? You can get more net BTC rewards while electricity and service fees are much lower.

Maintenance discounts

Discount for maintenance with GOMINING

What is the maximum maintenance discount I can receive by paying with tokens, and what factors determine it?

You can receive a maintenance discount of up to 20% by paying maintenance fees with GOMINING tokens from your virtual wallet. The discount amount depends on how many days your virtual wallet balance, together with your locked tokens, can cover maintenance fees.

NOTE

To apply the discount, your virtual wallet should contain enough GOMINING tokens for maintenance payments.

How many tokens do I need in my wallet for the discount to apply?

For example, if your wallet is not topped up, the discount will decrease by 1% approximately every 18 days. To maintain the maximum discount, regularly top up your wallet with GOMINING tokens. To achieve the maximum 20% discount, you need to have enough tokens to cover more than 360 days of maintenance

How to activate payment with tokens to get a discount?

To activate payment with GOMINING tokens, select this option in the reward settings on the rewards page.

NOTE

To pay for maintenance with GOMINING tokens, you must have a virtual wallet with sufficient tokens. Learn more about how to use and top up your wallet in this guide

If your virtual wallet does not have enough GOMINING on it to pay the maintenance fees, those fees are deducted in BTC, as they were before, and the discount doesn't work.

How can I find out how many tokens I spend on maintenance per day, on average?

To find out how many GOMINING tokens you need to pay for maintenance:

  1. Go to the rewards section
  2. Select Show in GOMINING
  3. In the Electricity and Service columns, see your average daily expenses

How to calculate how many tokens I need to purchase to get a discount?

  1. Navigate to Profile > Reward settings.
  2. Click the Increase discount button to open the Maintenance Discount page.
  3. Locate the Token Discount section, which features an interactive progress scale. Blue indicates your current discount level, while green highlights the next available tier.
  4. Move the slider to your target discount to see exactly how many tokens you need to purchase for the next calculation.

Does the discount apply to Bonus Miner?

The discount does not apply to Bonus Miner rewards

How can I see what discount was applied to my rewards?

The discount is calculated daily and displayed in the rewards section in the "Maintenance" block.

How can my discount change?

The discount depends on how many days your wallet balance covers maintenance fees at the time of the payout calculation. This can change based on your farm's power, the number of tokens in your wallet, or the token exchange rate.

How to maintain the discount at the desired level?

Regularly purchase tokens and top up your virtual wallet or enable the reinvestment of rewards into GOMINING tokens.

VIP discount

It's based on your personal VIP status. The discount amount varies depending on the number of TH or veGOMINING votes owned. Players will receive a 0.3% discount for the Bronze II VIP level and a 6% discount for the maximum Elite level.

NOTE

The VIP discount system has been updated and now replaces the previous mining farm level-based discount. For existing users with Bronze I, Bronze II, or Silver I status, we’ve preserved the old discount rates. However, if your VIP level changes, the new system’s discount rates will apply.

Example:
John owns 2 miners with a total power of 18 TH. His VIP status is Silver I. The maintenance discount at this level is 0.6%. He needs 7 TH more to upgrade to the next discount.

Service discount

When you click the Service button in your Mining farm, it can be used once per UTC day. The button becomes available again at the start of a new UTC day (00:00 UTC). This means you can click the Service button at any time between 00:00 and 00:00 UTC each day to keep your discount.

Each day you click the button, your discount increases by +0.3%.

  • Maximum discount: 3%
  • To reach it, you need to click the button for 10 days in a row If you miss a day and don’t click the button within that UTC day, the discount progress resets.

Example:

John clicked the "Service" button on Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri and Sat. For Saturday's payout, John will receive a 1.2% discount because he has only clicked the button for 4 days in a row and has accumulated a 0.3% discount for each consecutive day.

Mining mode discount

NOTE

Only in Mining mode. Not available during the trial period.

All users of Mining mode have an additional discount on maintenance fees. You don't have to do anything to activate it.

This discount is one of the categories that GoMining rewards cover. So the amount of the discount depends on the Burn & Mint cycles of veTokenomics and on veGOMINING voting results.
