What is a raffle, and why should I join?
GoMining raffles are part of a Gamified Loyalty Program: they are not a lottery or gambling activity. Instead, raffles are promotional campaigns that give you extra rewards for purchases and actions you already take in the app.
You never pay an additional fee or place a wager to join: your regular purchases and actions automatically generate raffle tickets.
Each raffle has its own rules, but the more tickets you have, the higher your chances of winning. At the end of the raffle, winners are selected randomly using a transparent, blockchain-based algorithm. Prizes can include GoMiners miners, tokens, and other exclusive rewards.
This way, raffles add a fun and rewarding layer on top of your usual app activity.
Who can participate?
Most raffles require you to have at least one active miner (besides the Bonus miner) to collect tickets. Some raffles are also open only to users from a certain VIP level and above. If a raffle has a VIP requirement, you will see it in the raffle conditions, and until you reach that level the Take part button stays unavailable and tapping it shows the reason.
You’ll start collecting tickets automatically if you meet the raffle conditions, but to appear in the list of participants and be eligible to win, you must confirm your participation by tapping the Take part button in the raffle.
If you haven’t confirmed, your tickets still accumulate: they’ll be counted once you join.
What if my VIP level changes after I join a raffle?
Nothing changes for you. Your VIP level is checked only at the moment you join, so once you’ve tapped Take part, you stay a participant until the raffle ends.
How do raffle tickets work?
You earn raffle tickets with unique numbers by completing the actions listed in the raffle conditions. The more you do, the more tickets you get.
Conditions differ from raffle to raffle. Buying a miner and upgrading its power are the most common qualifying actions, but a raffle can count other activity in the app as well, such as energy efficiency upgrades or Simple Earn rewards. Each raffle also sets how much you need to spend or do to earn one ticket.
In some raffles you earn tickets for your own activity, in others for the activity of the users you invited. Always check the conditions inside the raffle.
For example, if 1 ticket = $10 spent on upgrades, spending $99 will earn you 9 tickets. This is only an example: each raffle sets its own actions and amounts.
Tickets are only awarded after you confirm participation in the raffle. If you’ve already completed qualifying actions during the raffle period before joining, don’t worry, they’ll still count once you opt in.
Ticket assignment rules
Ticket numbers are assigned only after you confirm your participation. Numbers are assigned sequentially from 0 to N - 1, where N is the total number of tickets issued in the raffle. If you earn multiple tickets for a single action, like upgrading a miner, they’ll be assigned consecutively.
If two users make purchases at the same time, the user with the lower user ID gets their tickets assigned first.
If a qualifying purchase is later canceled, the associated tickets become inactive, but their numbers remain in the system. Once a raffle ends, no more tickets can be issued.
How is the winner chosen?
When the raffle ends, we:
- Take the hash of the latest closed Bitcoin block and convert it into a decimal number (e.g., using blockchain.com)
- Divide this number by the total number of tickets, and the winner is the ticket with the remainder of that division
What if something goes wrong?
- If the winning ticket was canceled
- If a duplicate winning ticket is selected (for raffles with multiple prizes)
- If another prize needs to be awarded (for raffles with multiple prizes)
Then the draw is repeated using the hash of the previous Bitcoin block (and the one before it, and so on), always dividing by the total number of tickets N, until a valid winning ticket is found
Prizes are awarded to winning tickets. If you have multiple winning tickets, you get a prize for each one
How do I claim my prize?
Some prizes are delivered automatically (auto-claim), so you don’t need to do anything. Other prizes must be claimed manually: tap the Claim Prize button on the raffle screen. After tapping, a prize is either credited automatically or requires contacting our support team (you’ll see clear instructions in the app).
Prizes have a claim deadline. Each prize that needs manual claiming shows how long you have to claim it (usually 30 days, but it can vary by raffle). If you don’t claim your prize before the deadline, it expires and can no longer be received. Auto-claim prizes are credited automatically and don’t expire.
Since we don’t send win notifications, check your raffles regularly and claim pending prizes as soon as you can.
GoMining will never contact you via Telegram, WhatsApp, or other messengers to say you’ve won. If someone does, it’s a scam. Never share your personal information with anyone.
Is there a deadline to claim my prize?
Yes. Prizes that require manual claiming have a time limit shown on the raffle screen (commonly 30 days, but it can vary). If you don’t tap Claim Prize before the deadline, the prize expires and can’t be claimed afterwards. Prizes set to automatic delivery don’t need claiming and won’t expire.
Contests
What is a contest?
A contest is a competition where users complete specific tasks to climb the leaderboard and win prizes.
The leaderboard ranks participants based on how well they perform in the contest. The more you do, the higher you rank.
Each contest has a clearly defined start and end date. Winners are determined once the contest ends.
How does my VIP level affect a contest?
Some contests are open only to users from a certain VIP level and above. If a contest has a VIP requirement, you will see it in the contest conditions.
Your level is checked for the whole time the contest runs, not only when you join. Only the results you earn while you have the required level are counted.
If your level drops below the requirement, you disappear from the leaderboard. If you reach the required level again, you return to the leaderboard with the results you had earned before, and your new results keep counting from there.
What rewards can I win?
Each contest has a set of prizes for the top participants. The number of winners and reward details are listed on the contest page.
How can I win?
Complete the contest task as much as possible, depending on the rules. The more you contribute, the better your chances of ranking high.
Tasks differ from contest to contest: in some of them your result comes from your own activity, in others from the activity of the users you invited. The tasks are always listed in the contest conditions.
How do I claim my prize?
Some prizes are credited automatically. If manual claiming is needed, a Claim Prize button appears on the contest page. The same rule applies: claim within the deadline shown, otherwise the prize expires.
Why am I not showing up on the leaderboard?
Some contests have specific requirements or conditions you need to meet to be included. Double-check the contest rules to make sure you’ve completed everything needed during the contest period.
The two most common reasons are:
- Your VIP level is below the contest requirement. Results you earn while your level is too low are not counted.
- Your result is still below the minimum the contest requires. Leaderboards don’t list everyone: you appear as soon as you pass it.
